Trouville lives on its sea. The covered fish market on the quay sells the catch straight off the boats — oysters, sole, scallops, langoustines — and the brasseries along the Quai Fernand Moureaux specialize in plateaux de fruits de mer. For a slow seafood lunch with a view of the harbour, this is one of the easier towns in Normandy.
Inland from the seafront, the old village streets hide more intimate bistros and creperies.
