One of the city's handful of all-organic open-air markets, the Marché Biologique des Batignolles sets up every Saturday along the tree-lined central reservation of the Boulevard des Batignolles. The stalls run to organic vegetables and fruit, cheeses, bread, honey, charcuterie, and prepared food, and it draws a committed local crowd of families and weekend shoppers from across the northwest of the city.
It is a market to browse and graze rather than a sight as such — pick up something to eat on the spot or carry to one of the nearby parks. Saturday mornings only; come earlier rather than later for the best of the produce and the liveliest atmosphere.
