Frenchie is the restaurant that launched the neo-bistro movement in Paris — Greg Marchand's small, intensely focused room on Rue du Nil has trained a generation of Paris cooks and spawned a whole ecosystem: Frenchie Bar à Vins (wine bar, no reservation), Frenchie To Go (sandwich shop), and Frenchie Épicerie around the corner.
The cooking draws on Marchand's time in London and New York — less classical French, more seasonal and ingredient-led. Booking is essential months ahead. The wine bar around the corner takes walk-ins and is often the better evening.
