A big contemporary park laid out from 2007 over the former Batignolles railway yards as the green centrepiece of the Clichy-Batignolles eco-district. Where the Square des Batignolles is nineteenth-century and romantic, this is twentieth-first-century and functional in the best sense: wide lawns, themed gardens, skate and ball areas, a basin that collects rainwater, and play areas, with the new glass courthouse rising beyond.
It is a working neighbourhood park rather than a destination, but it shows a different, modern side of Paris and is genuinely pleasant — full of joggers, families, and teenagers. Worth a look if you are exploring the northern, newer edge of Batignolles.
