Short for Káoffeineberg, KB CaféShop was one of the first wave of specialty coffee bars that helped reshape how Paris drinks its coffee, roasting its own beans and taking the espresso seriously at a time when most cafés did not. It sits on the broad, leafy Avenue Trudaine with one of the better sun-catching terraces in the quarter.
Come for a properly pulled flat white, a filter coffee, and a slice of cake, alongside the laptop-and-conversation crowd that fills the specialty cafés of SoPi. It is a good morning anchor before a wander down the nearby Rue des Martyrs.
