Abbaye Saint-Michel de Frigolet

Abbaye Saint-Michel de Frigolet is a secluded monastery complex in the hills west of Saint-Remy-de-Provence. Its origins go back to the 12th century, though much of what visitors see today reflects 19th-century restoration.

The Romanesque cloister is the main architectural draw, and the setting gives the abbey a quieter mood than the busier sights around Arles and Avignon.
