Gagripsh is worth noticing even if you do not eat there. The timber building, complete with its clock, was bought by Prince Alexander of Oldenburg at a Paris exhibition and brought to Gagra in the early 1900s, when he was trying to turn the coast into a fashionable health resort.
It is one of those buildings where the story is stronger than the current dining room. Look at it as part of Old Gagra's resort archaeology.
