Home of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, the Bundesliga club bankrolled into the top flight by SAP co-founder Dietmar Hopp. The 30,000-seat stadium opened in 2009 on the edge of Sinsheim, replacing the tiny village ground at Hoffenheim that the club had outgrown. Tours run on most non-match days.
It is one of the more interesting visits in the southwest German football scene: a small village club lifted into Europe by tech money, with all the controversy that came with it. The stadium itself is modern and unfussy, with good sightlines and a museum covering Hoffenheim's improbable rise.
