Ansbach has a direct train connection to Nuremberg (about 45 minutes) and is on the regional rail network linking Nuremberg with Crailsheim and Stuttgart. From Nuremberg, trains run every hour or two. From Munich, the journey requires a change in Nuremberg and takes around 2 hours total.
By car, Ansbach sits on the A6 motorway between Nuremberg and Heilbronn. The town is about 40 km southwest of Nuremberg.
