Augsburg has a compact but lively bar scene, centred on the streets around the university and the Konigsbau building near the theatre. The Rathausplatz is the obvious summer drinking spot. For something less touristy, the streets between Annastrasse and the Stadtgraben have a mix of wine bars, craft beer pubs, and cafes with a young local clientele.
