Marktplatz

Feuchtwangen's market square is one of the more attractive in this part of Franconia — a sloping rectangle ringed with half-timbered and painted Baroque houses, a Renaissance fountain in the middle, and the towers of the Stiftskirche rising on the south side. The square was famously called "Festsaal Frankens" (Franconia's banquet hall) by the German poet Ludwig Thoma.

Café terraces line the square in summer. Local markets are held here on Saturday mornings.
