Weikersheim is on the Romantic Road in the Tauber valley, about 110 km east of Frankfurt and 60 km west of Würzburg. By car it is the easiest approach — the B19 follows the Tauber through the valley and passes through town. There is a small train station with services connecting to Bad Mergentheim (10 minutes) and from there to the main rail network. The Romantic Road Coach runs in summer between Frankfurt and Füssen, stopping in Weikersheim — useful for those doing the route without a car.
