The Stadtgalerie is Schweinfurt's municipal gallery, showing a programme of contemporary and modern art exhibitions in the centre of the old town. It's less impressive than the Georg Schäfer Museum but presents a livelier programme of current work and is worth a quick look if you're spending more than a few hours in the city.
The gallery occupies a renovated historic building near the market square and entry is usually inexpensive. Exhibition quality varies, but the space itself is nicely done. Opening hours are limited (typically Tuesday–Sunday) — check before visiting.
