Bebelplatz is the square on Unter den Linden where Nazi officials burned thousands of books on 10 May 1933. The empty-library memorial set into the paving is the main reason to stop, but the square is also framed by St.-Hedwigs-Kathedrale, the State Opera, and Humboldt University, making it part of one of Berlin's densest historic walks.
