Humboldthain is a large park in Wedding with one feature that makes it more than a neighbourhood green space: a surviving World War II flak tower. Paths climb the wartime structure to one of northern Berlin's better free viewpoints.
It combines well with nearby Berliner Unterwelten, especially for travellers interested in Berlin's layered military and Cold War history.
