Mauerpark fills a former strip of the Berlin Wall with weekend crowds, a flea market, buskers, and the famous Bearpit karaoke sessions in summer. It is one of the easiest places to feel the city's informal, improvised side.
Come on Sunday if you want the full scene. On quieter days it is still a useful green walk between Prenzlauer Berg and Wedding, with traces of the border landscape just beneath the casual atmosphere.
