Inner-north district built around the long pedestrianised Lister Meile

A handsome residential district north of the centre, originally built for the late-19th-century bourgeoisie around the wide pedestrianised Lister Meile. The street is now Hanover's longest pedestrian shopping zone, with weekly markets, cafes spilling onto the cobbles and the famous "Bermuda Triangle" cluster of bars at its southern end.

The Stadtpark and the city forest of Eilenriede are both a few minutes' walk away. List rents are high by Hanover standards but still a fraction of comparable inner suburbs in Hamburg or Berlin.
