Burg Stargard lies about 8 kilometres south of Neubrandenburg. A local bus runs between the two towns; Neubrandenburg is served by direct trains from Berlin (around 1 hour 45 minutes) and Rostock (about 1 hour). By car, follow the B96 south from Neubrandenburg and turn off at the signed junction for the town. There is parking on the market square.
