Duisburg Hauptbahnhof is on the main Cologne–Dortmund rail corridor and receives frequent InterCity and regional services. Journey times from Cologne are around 30 minutes; from Düsseldorf about 15 minutes; from Dortmund about 25 minutes. ICE high-speed trains also stop here on some services. The station is well-connected by tram and U-Bahn to the city centre and to the Inner Harbour.
By car, Duisburg sits at the intersection of the A40, A3, and A59 motorways. Parking in the city centre is straightforward. There is no major airport in Duisburg; most visitors fly into Düsseldorf International (DUS), which is a 15-minute train ride away.
