Lausitzer Findlingspark Nochten is a landscape garden built from the leftovers of geology and industry. Thousands of glacial boulders, once in the way of lignite mining machinery, were gathered and arranged across a recultivated former mine.
The result is part rock garden, part botanical park, and part lesson in how the Ice Age shaped central Europe. It makes a worthwhile detour from Bad Muskau, especially if you are already interested in parks and reclaimed landscapes.
