Bauhaus Café

The cafe inside the Bauhaus Building is the obvious place for a coffee after touring the permanent exhibition. The interior keeps the modernist aesthetic intact — clean lines, Bauhaus-designed fittings, light coming in through that famous glass curtain wall. It serves coffee, cake, light lunches, and a short drinks menu.

Sitting here with a coffee and the view out over the workshop courtyard is one of the better small pleasures Dessau offers. It is also a useful base for anyone who has bought a day ticket to explore the building at leisure.
