Dessau is a quiet city and its bar and cafe scene reflects that. There is no late-night district, but there are a handful of decent places to have a coffee or a beer. The cafe inside the Bauhaus Building is the most characterful option — modernist surroundings included in the price of a flat white. For something more relaxed, the riverside at the Kornhaus has a terrace that works well on summer evenings.
