Elbe Terrace

The riverside terrace at the Kornhaus functions as a bar and cafe as well as a restaurant — on warm afternoons and summer evenings, people come just for a beer or a glass of wine with the Elbe view, without necessarily eating a full meal. It is an easy three-kilometre cycle from the city centre and a natural end point for anyone who has spent the morning at the Bauhaus Building and Meisterhäuser.

The terrace gets busy on sunny weekends, and the combination of the Bauhaus architecture, the wide river, and the simple pleasure of a cold drink in good weather makes it worth the short trip out of the centre.
