Schloss vor Husum

Renaissance castle with regional collections, a calm park, and Husum's famous spring crocus bloom.

Schloss vor Husum was once outside the old town, which explains the name: the castle "before" Husum. Today it is close to the centre and works as both a historic building and a museum site.

The park is part of the draw. In early spring it fills with purple crocuses, a small North Frisian spectacle that gives the grey town a sudden flash of colour.
