Karydi Beach

Karydi (or Karidi) Beach sits on the southwest tip of Sithonia, just outside the village of Vourvourou, and is one of the most photographed beaches in northern Greece. The shore is a long, narrow stretch of soft pale sand fringed with smooth white rocks the size of cars; the water is shallow and the colour of swimming-pool turquoise.

It can get busy in August, but stays reasonable the rest of the summer. There is a single beach bar that runs lounger rentals and serves food and drinks; otherwise the beach is undeveloped. Park at the gravel lot a short walk uphill from the sand. The sunset light on the rocks is exceptional.
