Getting There

Mandamados is about 35 km northeast of Mytilini, the capital of Lesbos, reached by a good road through olive-covered hills. The drive takes around 45 minutes. There is no regular taxi service from Mytilini, so a hire car or the island's limited bus service (KTEL Lesvou) are the practical options.

Buses from Mytilini to Mandamados run a few times a day but not on frequent schedules — check current times before relying on them. The village is best visited as part of a longer circuit of northern Lesbos that also takes in Sigri, the Petrified Forest, and the coast road to Molyvos.
