Kardamili Beach

Grey pebble beach with crystal-clear water and shady tamarisks

The main beach is grey pebble, clean, and backed by tamarisk trees that provide genuine shade — a rarity on Greek beaches. The water is extraordinarily clear, deep blue, and cold even in summer. There are several small coves south of the main beach, reachable on foot or by kayak, that offer more privacy. In peak season the main beach gets busy enough; the coves rarely do.
