Arvanitia Promenade

The Arvanitia is the cliff-edge walking path that loops around the base of the Acronauplia rock, beginning at the southern edge of the old town and ending at the small pebble beach of Arvanitia. It is a flat, shaded, two-kilometre stroll with the Argolic Gulf on one side and limestone cliffs hung with prickly pear on the other.

This is the route locals walk at sunset, often hand in hand. The water is clear enough to swim from any of the small rocky platforms along the way, and the round-trip from town and back via the road through Pronoia makes a satisfying hour-long walk.
