The Ecclesiastical Museum -- formally the "Soul's Cure" Museum -- occupies the upper floor of the diocesan headquarters next to the Cathedral. The collection was assembled in the late twentieth century from churches and monasteries across the prefecture, particularly those that had fallen out of regular use.
Highlights include a fifteenth-century icon of the Virgin from the monastery of Timios Prodromos, a series of Cretan-school panels brought from Mount Athos, embroidered vestments, and several illuminated Gospel manuscripts. Labelling is in Greek with brief English summaries. Open weekday mornings.
