The rusting shipwreck on Navagio Beach is one of Zakynthos' most photographed sights, stranded in a small cove below high limestone cliffs. Boat trips reach the beach, but crowds can be heavy when island cruises arrive.
For the classic postcard view, follow the road near Agios Georgios Krimnon Monastery to the clifftop viewing area above the wreck. Early morning or late afternoon is usually calmer than midday.
