The parish church of Magyaróvár stands on the main square a short walk from the castle. The current Baroque building dates from the early 18th century and replaced a medieval predecessor that had served the same site since the Árpád era. The interior is bright and modestly decorated; the bell tower is a useful landmark when navigating the older streets.
The square in front of the church is the main meeting point of the old town and hosts the weekly farmers' market.
