St. John the Baptist Church is a small Gothic church whose oldest parts go back to the 13th century. Its present form owes much to late 15th-century work and a 19th-century restoration by Franz Storno.
The reason to step inside is the surviving wall painting and inscription work from the early 16th century. Sopron has richer churches, but this one rewards travellers who enjoy quiet medieval details away from the main square.
