An 18th-century Serbian Orthodox church standing right on Fő tér, Szentendre's main square. The Baroque and Rococo facade is the most photographed building in town, its gilded icons and carved iconostasis among the finest in Hungary.
Inside, a recorded choir fills the small nave during visiting hours, adding atmosphere to what is already a striking interior. The church marks the centre of Szentendre's Serbian heritage — the town was settled by Serbs fleeing the Ottoman advance in the late 17th century, and this was their principal place of worship. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm; admission around 800 HUF.
