The Dean Crowe Theatre and Arts Centre is Athlone's main performing arts venue, presenting a mix of touring theatre, comedy, music, and local amateur drama productions. Named after a beloved local priest who championed the arts, the theatre has a mid-sized auditorium that fills easily for the popular touring shows. Check the programme before visiting — on the right week you might catch a significant national touring production or a well-regarded local amateur drama company that performs to a professional standard.
