A long, narrow grocery-pub on New Street that has barely changed in fifty years — wooden counters, tea and biscuits in the window, stout on tap at the back. It is the most photographed pub in Bantry and one of the few remaining shop-bars in West Cork, a survival of the time when every Irish village pub also sold tea, sugar and shoe polish.
Music sessions on weekend evenings. Quiet most weekday afternoons, which is the moment to come for the full effect.
