Getting There

Clonmel is 160 kilometres from Dublin and well connected by road. The N24 runs east to Waterford and west toward Limerick; the N8 connects to Cork via Cahir and the south of the county.

By rail, the Limerick Junction to Waterford line stops at Clonmel station, with connecting services to the mainline network. Journey times from Dublin via train involve a change at Limerick Junction or Waterford, so most visitors arriving from the capital come by Bus Éireann — there are several direct services a day from Dublin Busáras that take about three hours. Citylink and other private operators also serve the route.
