Bully's Acre is one of Dublin's oldest and most historically layered graveyards, with burials documented back to the 7th century. It sits adjacent to the Royal Hospital Kilmainham and was used as a pauper's graveyard for centuries, as well as the burial ground for soldiers from the hospital.
The graves of several United Irishmen executed after the 1798 rebellion are believed to be here, though the site's long history means it is difficult to identify individual graves. It is freely accessible and makes an intriguing stop alongside a visit to the Royal Hospital.
