Newbridge House is a fine Georgian mansion at Donabate, 8km north of Portmarnock, with one of the best-preserved 18th-century interiors in Ireland. The Red Drawing Room in particular is unchanged since it was decorated in the 1760s, making it a remarkable survival. The house was home to the Cobbe family for over 250 years.
The traditional farm attached to the house is a particular draw for families — rare breeds of cattle, pigs, and sheep are kept in an 18th-century farmyard. Both house and farm can be visited together. Newbridge is reached by DART to Donabate station.
