The Bulman is a bar and restaurant at Summer Cove, just below Charles Fort, with an outdoor terrace perched almost over the water at the harbour entrance. It is one of the best settings for a drink anywhere in Kinsale — the views take in the harbour mouth, both forts, and the open water beyond — and the food is reliably good: fresh fish, chowder, and a decent wine list.
The bar is a proper pub inside, dark and low-ceilinged, with a fireplace and the usual Irish mix of locals and visitors. In summer the outside tables go fast. Walk down from Charles Fort after your visit or take a taxi from the town centre.
