Fishy Fishy is Kinsale's most celebrated restaurant and one of the best seafood restaurants in Ireland. The menu changes daily with whatever was landed at the harbour that morning — crab claws, chowder, fresh plaice, lobster, and oysters are regulars; everything else depends on the season and the weather. The room is bright and informal, with artwork on the walls and a conservatory looking out over a small garden.
The chowder is justifiably famous — thick, rich, and loaded with whatever shellfish is freshest. Booking is essential for dinner; lunch is sometimes easier to walk into. Prices are high by Irish pub standards but reasonable for the quality.
