Rosses Point is 8 km northwest of Sligo town and most easily reached by road — the R291 runs out along the headland and ends in the village. Bus Éireann route 473 runs from Sligo town to Rosses Point several times a day, taking around twenty minutes.
The nearest train station is Sligo, which is on the Dublin–Sligo line (around 3 hours from Dublin Connolly). The nearest airport is Knock, about an hour south by road; Dublin and Shannon are both around three hours' drive.
