Waterford is well connected by road. It sits on the N25 from Cork (about 90 minutes by car) and the N24 from Limerick (two hours). From Dublin, take the M7 and then the N9 — about two and a half hours in good traffic.
Bus Éireann runs frequent services to Dublin (around three hours) and Cork (about two and a quarter hours). A private operator, Rapid Express, also runs to Dublin and continues on to Dublin Airport. Trains run to Dublin and Limerick but are less frequent and more expensive than the buses.
