Waterford's main attractions are its Viking and medieval heritage, concentrated in the compact Viking Triangle at the eastern end of the quays. The five Waterford Treasures museums are within a few minutes' walk of each other and can be visited in a single morning. The riverfront is pleasant for a walk, and the Georgian streets north of the quays have enough independent shops and cafes to fill an afternoon.
