The main draws here are outdoors and ancient. The beach is the obvious starting point — wide, sandy, and calm enough for children — but the Greek ruins just inland are what set Lido di Metaponto apart from any other Ionian resort. You can rent boats and kayaks along the shore, and the flat terrain makes cycling between the resort and the archaeological sites easy.
