The Amalfi Coast rewards slow travel: the road itself is an experience, the towns have very different characters, and the combination of mountains and sea means there is always somewhere unexpected to find. The main towns — Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello — are the obvious draws, but smaller places like Atrani, Praiano, and Furore repay the effort of getting off the tourist circuit.
