Da Paolino

Dinner under a canopy of lemon trees — Capri's most atmospheric restaurant

Da Paolino is one of the most celebrated restaurants on Capri, not primarily for the food — which is excellent but not unique — but for the setting: the terrace is completely enclosed by a grove of ancient lemon trees, and eating under their canopy on a warm evening is a genuinely special experience. The restaurant has been here since 1965 and remains a family operation.

The menu is Campanian with local flourishes — antipasti, fresh pasta, grilled fish. Ravioli caprese (with local caciotta cheese and marjoram) is a signature. The portions are generous for Capri. Book well ahead in July and August; walk-ins are rarely successful in high season. Located in Via Palazzo a Mare, a short walk from Marina Grande.
