Temple of Apollo

The Temple of Apollo stands on the western side of Pompeii's Forum and preserves some of the oldest remains found in the city. The sanctuary's origins reach back to the 6th century BC, while the visible layout reflects later rebuilding after centuries of Greek, Etruscan, Samnite, and Roman influence.
