Castello di Formigine

Castello di Formigine began as a medieval fortress in the 13th century and was rebuilt into its present form around 1400. It later belonged to the Calcagnini family before becoming municipal property in the 20th century.

The castle now serves as a civic landmark and museum, with restored rooms and archaeological remains that explain the site's long history. It is a useful stop if you are exploring the towns south of Modena, especially alongside Maranello or Sassuolo.
