Modena's historic centre is compact and best explored on foot. The Duomo, Piazza Grande, the markets, and the main museums are all within easy walking distance of each other. Cycling is popular — the city is flat and has a reasonable network of bike lanes.
For Maranello (the Galleria Ferrari), take a bus from Modena's main bus station on Via Fabriani — services run roughly hourly and the journey takes about 30 minutes. By taxi or car it is 15 kilometres on the Via Emilia. Car hire is straightforward from Modena station or the airport.
