Galleria Ferrari, Maranello

Ferrari's official museum in Maranello, 15km from Modena — the full history of the racing legend

The Galleria Ferrari in Maranello is the official museum of Ferrari and contains the most comprehensive collection of Ferrari racing and road cars anywhere in the world. Unlike the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena, which focuses on the founder's life, the Galleria is about the cars themselves — Formula 1 championship-winning single-seaters, prototype endurance racers, and road cars spanning eight decades.

Maranello is 15 kilometres south of Modena on a straight road through the Po Valley. You can see the Ferrari factory from the road — the Prancing Horse logo is hard to miss. Alongside the museum, the town has a few Ferrari-themed restaurants and shops, and at certain times of year you can hear testing on the company's private circuit. The museum opens daily; the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena and the Galleria in Maranello are best treated as two complementary stops on the same day.
